ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE
Chris & Rachel live in England close to the suffolk coast. Having had 3 children whom have all flown the nest we felt it was a good time to purchase a property in Paphos as we have previously holidayed in the area and it always felt like a home from home. Due to working in Estate Agency for 43 years Chris immediately recognised the location of our apartment as a prime and ideal area for us to purchase our holiday home.

PAPHOS
The apartment is ideally situated just off tomb of the kings. Paphos has over 400 restaurants and bars. We can provide you with some names of restaurants we have used and would recommend and have found tripadvisor to be very good on recommendations.
Food is varied, Greek, Mediterranean, Chinese, Indian, Cypriot, and good old English!!

There is a shopping mall on tomb of the kings road which has a large supermarket (20min walk) plus boutique shops and many more. The Kings Avenue Mall website provides full details of all stores, including a range of restaurants on the top floor, mainly more modern eateries like Wagamama, Pizza Hut, TGIF & Costa to name a few!

There is also a Lidl within walking distance and various grocery/bakery stores (freshly baked products) along TOTK road. You really don't need to go far to eat!..

You do not need a car as the bus runs along TOTK road frequently, and there is a newly built bus depot next to Tea for Two. The buses take you down to the harbour where there are more shops and restaurants just a 5 minute drive away. You could walk to the harbour- from the beach behind TOTK road - you can do the coastal lighthouse walk along the waters edge all the way into the harbour... Watch the sun go down, lovely viewpoints, and the lighthouse beach has a cafe/bar and sunbathing area to relax or take a dip to cool down.

The bus also takes you to neighbouring villages including Coral bay which has 2 beaches, Corralia Bay Hotel Beach being our favourite. The bus is very cheap.

If you want to travel further afield you can go to the bus terminal in the old town and buses will take you to other areas in Cyprus such as nicosia, limassol and many more..
We tend to hire a car now as we like to venture out and explore, but we have used a local taxi company - Andys Taxis (00357 99939061) and he can do pickups from the airport for approx 35 euros. You will need to arrange this with him direct.

There are a couple of bike rental companies close to the apartment if you prefer an alternative way of getting around.

For excursions there are several tour operators situated on TOTK road. They have an extensive list of excursions whether by boat, jeep, safari, bikes etc…

We highly recommend the quad bike excursions and there is also a segway experience to do.
If you like your wine there are wine tasting trips available.

There are 2 water parks, one in Limassol and one in Paphos. Both have plenty to offer for a fun day out.

There are many heritage sites to visit. We have discovered 3 very close to the Apartment. The Mosaics is situated opposite the Harbour, just past the Castle. Tomb of the Kings is on TOTK Road, and St Pauls Pillar Site is just off of the road that takes you to the Harbour.

If you only take in 1 trip during your stay we would recommend Troodos Mountains, Kykkos Monastery & Omodos Village. The scenery is spectacular, the Monastry is the most impressive we have ever seen, and the Village is quaint with its bars, cafes and narrow streets.
